Appreciation Gathering for Kelowna Host Families!

Staying with a Canadian family is an excellent way to improve your English. VanWest College ensures safe, comfortable and friendly host families. Our homestay families have worked with us for more than 10 years. Homestay is a wonderful way to experience Canadian culture and learn about the surrounding area while being part of a Canadian family.

In Kelowna, VanWest has over 50 families that provide about 100 rooms for our students. During the summertime, we are operating with more than 40 families and offer about 100 rooms. Our Kelowna Accommodations Coordinator, Gina, hosted an appreciation gathering for our host families and 32 host families joined the event! We shared a meal, good laughs, made new friends, and built relationships that will benefit not just VanWest but also the local community.
