If you are looking for a more independent living arrangement, a student residence is a good choice. Each campus offers an exclusive student residence that is offered only to VanWest College students.

The Vancouver student residence is located in the heart of Vancouver. It’s a 5-minute walk from the nearest Skytrain station. So, you can travel easily to any major area and you are only 20 minutes away from the school. You can find everything you need within walking distance, including one of Vancouver’s most famous city parks: Queen Elizabeth Park.
The Kelowna student residence is also located in the center of Kelowna city. It is in a quiet, residential area that is 1 minute away from the nearest bus stop. Everything you need is within walking distance. At this student residence, we sometimes arrange activities for students like board games, pizza night, movie nights, and so on.

Homestay

Homestays are a popular choice if you want to get to know the local culture better. All homestay families have been selected and checked to ensure students are safe and comfortable. By living together, eating together, and talking throughout your stay, a homestay family often provides students an added support as they learn and explore the new city. They give you more chances to use your English outside of the classroom. So, you can really immerse yourself in Canadian culture.
