My Life In Vancouver
Hello all, I’m Rimi. I’m taking Business Management Co-op Diploma program and I just started my volunteer work experience as a social media assistant at VanWest College. This is my first blog, and I would like to share what my life in Vancouver is like so far. I would be glad if this information is helpful to you and you enjoy my blog.
THE FOOD
My life in Vancouver has been amazing because Canada is a multi-cultural country. That’s what I was surprised by the most when I first came here. When I was in Japan, I could hear people speaking almost only Japanese. Moreover, there are only a few people from other countries. Here in Canada, we can hear many other languages and cultures. I especially would like to emphasize the variety of the restaurants. We can enjoy different kinds of food. Here I put some photos of the places I have been to. I still have many cuisines that I want to try, I will definitely never get bored with the food here.
THE NATURE
Next, I would like to tell you that how wonderful nature here is. Though Vancouver is a big city, there are many places where we can enjoy nature. Now I will share with you some of my recommendations:
English Bay & Stanley Park
English Bay is one of the most popular beaches where you can see beautiful sunsets. In the summer, there are numerous people from morning to night. I remember there was a drum performance and more people started gathering to dance to the music. I had never seen anything like that in my country. You can also have a fun time over food and drinks or even meet up with new people. As you can see in the second picture, I actually met new friends, a cute dog, and his owner.
When you head north from English bay, you can reach Stanley Park. I enjoyed cycling and taking in the beautiful scenery of mountains.
Queen Elizabeth Park
My second recommendation is Queen Elizabeth Park. I have been there a couple of times and I usually walk around breathing in the fresh air. It is known as the place people can enjoy many outdoor activities such as playing catch with a frisbee among others. It also has an amazing garden where you can enjoy many types of floral displays. Since this park is quiet, when you get tired or feel overwhelmed, you can go there to relax and rejuvenate yourself.
Thank you for reading my first blog. I am so glad to have such an opportunity that I am able to share my experience and thoughts. I hope it proves to be helpful to you. December has just started and I’m very excited that many things are changing into Christmas themes now.
See you soon!
