Hello there, my name is Jed and I am the Social Media Coordinator of VanWest College. I’m fairly new to the school but I think that’s an amazing advantage for our readers because it will allow us to journey together as we find out what this amazing institution has to offer. Jed – VanWest College

After being here for a few days I must say I have been really impressed with VanWest’s response to Covid-19. Their efforts have allowed classes to keep running and in doing so let students get one step closer to achieving their higher learning goals. Below are just five of the many actions VanWest College has taken to ensure the safety of our students is a top priority:

1. First and foremost, masks are mandatory for all staff and students. Before entering the campus, you must have one properly on.

Students and staff must follow all signs and guidelines on campus

3. They have placed plenty of signage to ensure proper guidelines are followed by anyone entering our campuses. There are also arrows along the halls to direct traffic to avoid congestion as well.

4. VanWest College has committed to keeping the safety of the students a top priority by having all classrooms and common rooms adhere to social distancing protocols. They achieve this by spacing out the distance between desks and waiting queues.

5. For now, every classroom is equipped with the ability to stream classes for our students who have to quarantine upon entering Canada or even those who have to study from home back in their countries.

These are just a few of the many actions VanWest College has taken to ensure the safety of our current and future students. We know the prospect of going back to classes or studying abroad can be overwhelming during these times. That is why we are committed to making that opportunity exciting once again.
