The Medieval Feast at VanWest Kelowna

VanWest Kelowna visited the Peachland Museum!

Last week, students at VanWest’s Kelowna campus drove to Peachland, a quiet town by the lake. After strolling around downtown, we visited the Peachland Museum to learn about the area’s history. The museum is full of old artifacts from the settlers who came hundreds of years ago, and details how both Peachland and Kelowna grew into the cities they are today.

The Medieval Feast

Then, it was time for the main event – a feast! Gasthaus on the Lake, a restaurant inspired by German cuisine, prepared a special medieval feast for us, complete with costumes and music. The meal included homemade bread, soup, and apple fritters, but the most impressive part was the main course: a 150lb (68kg) platter of meats! Going out to dinner with friends is always fun, but it’s also a great way to practice English in a relaxed setting. This is a unique experience that can only be found in Peachland!
