Visiting Kangaroo Creek Farm!

When you think of kangaroos, Canada probably isn’t the first place that comes to mind. However, every month, dozens of VanWest Kelowna students make the trip out to Kangaroo Creek Farm, a wildlife sanctuary and petting zoo. The farm takes care of many different Australian critters, including wallabies, capybaras, snakes, and talking parrots. The highlight of the trip, however, is the kangaroos.

Visitors can pet them, feed them, and watch them hop around the spacious farm. VanWest students were even able to hold baby kangaroos and feed them their dinner! This activity has become so popular at our Kelowna campus that, during the summer, students go almost every week.

During the fall, students can visit the farm on weekends between 10am-2pm.
