• English for Presentation (Public Speaking)
• English for Marketing & Sales
• English for Social Media
• English for Engineering

English for Presentation (Public Speaking)

Do you worry about speaking in groups, meetings, or in front of an audience? You are not alone! This English for Presentation (Public Speaking) will be the perfect course for you! The ability to speak in meetings and in public is an important advantage in today’s competitive world. Don’t let lack of confidence hold you back!

• • Prerequisite: EAP 200 or Level 5

• Learn strategies for expressing your ideas so people will want to listen
• Gain the keys to successful public speaking
• Improve on how to put your thoughts into writing
• Become more confident and dynamic public speakers by participating in lots of practice in class

English for Marketing & Sales

Take your sales and marketing skills to the next level! This course will look at several aspects of marketing and sales, including deciding and reaching your market. You will examine examples of successful campaigns, and listen to different perspectives on how to help your product or company rise above the rest. There will be plenty of time in class to practice your sales and marketing skills!

• • Prerequisite: EAP 200 or Level 6

• Learn how to decide on who your market is and how to reach them
• Learn how to put together a marketing strategy that will work on a local, national or global level

English for Social Media

The world is connecting through social media, and it’s important to feel comfortable with how it works. Everybody is posting their experiences and thoughts on social media these days. Friends and employers of the future will be looking through your social media accounts and what they see will give them an idea of who you are! Make sure they’re seeing your very best self.

• • Prerequisite: EAP 200 or Level 6

• Examine various types of social media
• Develop your personal brand through visual images, blogging, and vlogging
• Learn how to grow your network and build an employer-friendly online reputation

English for Engineering

A number of topics will be covered, including learning language specific to civil, electrical and mechanical engineering. With your engineering background, you will benefit from the opportunity to discuss topics such as describing technical problems and suggesting solutions. You will also enhance your personal communication skills through ample opportunities to listen and speak in class.

• Learn how to explain technical information and use technical language correctly in English
• Enhance your confidence and language skills when communicating with costumers and colleagues in English
• Build the technical English and business communication skills and succeed as an engineer!
